David Bruce Bertolami, Jr., 59 of Alton, NH formerly of Chester, NH passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. David was born May 17, 1965, in Medford, MA. He was a son of the late David Bruce and Marguerite Bertolami. He was a resident of Chester, NH for 16 years, prior to moving to Alton, NH in 2017.
His first priority was to be a great husband, father and most recently, a grandfather. He celebrated the birth of his first granddaughter, whom he adored. He loved spending time with his two dogs, Sophie and Lyla at his home. He was an avid bodybuilder, enjoyed landscaping, taking care of his lawn, having a large cup of coffee before bed, and appreciated the simple things life has to offer.
David was a gentle giant and a rock to many. He was the Distribution Manager at H.P.Hood in Concord, NH and Barre, VT for 10 years. Though working at H.P. Hood was his job, his supportive colleagues and team members were his second family that he was so proud of. His amazing sense of humor and ability to make everyone laugh will surely be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen (Belluardo) Bertolami, a son, David Bruce Bertolami, III and his wife Esther, his granddaughter Lena, a brother and his wife, Todd and Shellie Bertolami, a sister and her husband Deena and Richard Petersen, his mother in law Carol Belluardo and her partner Claude Langlois, his sister in law Dina LaTulippe and special people close to his heart, Mark and Hannah Hebsch and their daughters, Evelyn and Adah. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
David was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Kayla Lee Bertolami, by a brother, Mark Bertolami and both of his parents.
Calling hours will be held Friday, September 6, 2024, from 2 to 8 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Mark’s Church, 1 South Road, Londonderry, NH.
Services will conclude with burial at Great Hill Cemetery in Chester, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kayla Bertolami Scholarship Fund through the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation at http://give.nhcf.org/kaylabertolamischolarship
