Diane (Tsefrekas) Natsis 86, of Waterbury, CT, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully on Thursday, August 29th in Apple Rehabilitation in Watertown, CT. She leaves two daughters, Sophia Michael of Albany, NY, and Maria Kuzmich and her husband, Michael of Milford, MI; a brother, George Tsefrekas of Shrewsbury; a sister, Dorothy Dimtsios of Arizona; four grandchildren, Evan Michael and his wife, Aggie, Christiana Michael, John Kuzmich, and Stephanie Corazzol; and one great grandchild, Dimitri Michael. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Father Stephen P. Natsis; and two brothers, Angelo Tsefrekas and Andrew Tsefrekas.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Greek immigrants, Peter and Mary (Alexander) Tsefrekas and was proficient in the Greek language. Growing up she was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral and was married there. As the wife of a Greek Orthodox Priest, she held the position of Presbytera and was involved in numerous Greek Orthodox Church activities, including Greek Ladies Philoptochos, Daughters of Penelope and the Church choir. She enjoyed meeting new people while working in various Greek restaurants. In her leisure time she enjoyed Greek cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Her funeral services are private and there are no calling hours. O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester.
