Obituary

Leicester – Russell L. Lusignan, 84, of Leicester and longtime business owner, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, in his home with family by his side.

Mr. Lusignan is survived by his wife, Bonita “Bonnie” Lusignan; a son, Russell Lusignan of Leicester; 3 daughters Tammy and (Bob) Hutchinson of Webster, Lisa Sprague and (Mike) Lindfors of Leicester and Kerrie and (Brian) Pinkham of Oxford; 2 brothers, Donald and (Bonny) Lusignan of Oxford; and Roger and (Joan) Lusignan of East Brookfield and two sisters, Joyce Cardin of Sutton and Linda and (Dan) Sullivan of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his extended family, Donna and (Pete) Behrens of Oxford, Sherrye and (Jim) Olney of Oxford and David Hebb of Oakham.

Russ was born in Worcester, son of the late Armand and Jessie (Smith) Lusignan and is also predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Richard Lusignan.

Mr. Lusignan owned and operated Lusignan Brothers Sheet Metal in Worcester alongside his brother, Donald before his retirement.

His Hobbies were playing pool, hunting, fishing and golfing. Russ enjoyed country music, dancing, playing keno and taking chance on scratch tickets.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 5 at 11 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 on Wednesday, September 4 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Michael J Fox foundation for Parkinson’s Research, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
