PARKER, Richard J. of Chestnut Hill, originally of Cotuit, passed away on August 30, 2024. Beloved husband of Stephanie A. (Kelley) Parker. Devoted father of Christopher Parker, Tamsen Durand, and Bradford Parker. Loving grandfather of Karissa, Christopher Jr. “CJ”, Maxwell, Marley, Victoria, and Thompson.
Richard was a graduate of Hebron Academy in Maine, and Boston University. Richard was the Founder and President of Medical & Technical Research Associates (MTRA), one of the earliest Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) in the country. He held this position for more than 25 years and took great pride in the accomplishments of his many colleagues. He was an avid sailor and lifelong fan of Boston's sports teams.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 1305 Highland Ave. Needham on Wednesday, September 4th from 4-7pm. A Funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, September 5th at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Following the service a private burial will occur.
