Obituary

Sheila A. (Pauley) (Coe) Buckley, age 73, of Abington, died on August 28, 2024 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Sheila was the wife of the late William E. Buckley. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late George and Rosemary (Lyons) Pauley, Jr. and was a 1969 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School.

For many years, Sheila was a dental assistant for private dental practices in the local area.

She volunteered for several food banks on the South Shore and was an active member of the Abington Senior Center and Meals on Wheels.

Known for her crafts, she especially enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Many of her crocheted items were donated to local charities and people felt lucky to be given one of her blankets. She was also an avid gardener and old western movie and music fan.

Sheila was the loving mother of Gary Coe, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Abington and Stephen Coe and his wife Katie of Plymouth. She was the grandmother of Adalaide, Bryton, Camden, Aiden and Evan Coe and the sister of Michael Pauley, William Pauley, Elizabeth “Tish” Mency, Rosemary Spencer, Julie LaRose and the late Moira Holmes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, on Wednesday, September 4, from 5-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15am for a Funeral Mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland.
