David Henry DiPietro, 72, of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 28, 2024, in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry following a period of declining health. He was born on February 8, 1952, in New Brunswick, NJ, a son of the late Harry and Elvera (Palermo) DiPietro. David was a resident of Derry for over 35 years, formerly living in Watertown, MA. He was a member of Teamsters Local 42 for over 30 years, most recently employed at Americold in Gloucester, MA until his retirement. An avid sports fan, he also enjoyed thoroughbred horse racing. He loved his dog Loki and his cat Lucy.
He is survived by two brothers Harry DiPietro Jr and Steven DiPietro, his cherished nephew, Tom Paris, and cherished niece, Kerry Soucy. David was predeceased by his beloved wife Beth Ann Piper DiPietro in 2019 and his sister Jeanne DiPietro in 2006.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday September 4, 2024, from 9 – 11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Funeral services will begin at 11am in the funeral home. Graveside services to follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Road, East Derry, NH, located behind First Parish Congregational Church.
