William John Guariano, age 82, of Sharon, Massachusetts passed away on August 26, 2024 after a long-time illness.
Born in Brooklyn, New York on May 9, 1942 to the late Salvator and Jenny Guariano. Bill G grew up with his five older sisters and four older brothers.
He met his wife, Barbara, on a blind date to see Lord of the Flies and shortly thereafter they were married on November 28, 1964. They had two children, Mary (Guariano) Lomuscio of West Roxbury, MA and John Guariano of South Yarmouth, MA.
After graduating from Brooklyn College, Bill moved to Staten Island and worked at Unishops where they had Mary and then John a few years later. After moving to Westfield, New Jersey, he soon changed companies to Hills Department Store, was promoted to Senior Men’s Clothing Buyer, and moved to Sharon, Massachusetts. Thanks to this position, Bill was able to pursue his passion of traveling the world extensively to locations such as Hawaii, China, Europe, and other countries.
After leaving Hills Department Store, Bill owned and operated Northeast Courier Inc, a successful courier business that serviced companies throughout New England.
His many interests included going for long bike rides around Lake Massapoag in Sharon, meticulous yard work such as raking and mowing the lawn, and eating muffins in his Subaru with his half hazelnut half skim milk coffee and getting the crumbs everywhere.
Bill is predeceased by siblings Tommy, Bobby, Madeline, Anna, Mina, and Jeanette; and survived by siblings Eddy and Bernie. Bill leaves behind his wife, two children, and three grandchildren – Elizabeth, Joseph, and James Lomuscio.

Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury, Thursday, August 29th from 8:30-9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre St. West Roxbury at 10am.
