Brian G. Norton, age 55, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 24, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Janice M. (Frangioso) Norton, to whom he was wed for twenty-seven years.
Born in Boston, MA on August 6, 1969, he was a loving son of the late Gerard W. and Mary E. (Flynn) Norton.
Brian grew up in his hometown of Norwood and was a 1988 graduate of Blue Hill Regional Technical High School in Canton, where he pursued a career in the field of carpentry.
A resident of Mansfield for the past twenty-six years, Brian was the proud owner of T & M Construction in Mansfield for twenty years. He had previously worked for the D.F. Frangioso Co in Boston.
Brian’s greatest passions were his family and home in Mansfield and was well-known for the meticulously ways in which he maintained his beautiful yard and his trucks. He could be frequently found socializing with family and friends at Jimmy’s Pub in Mansfield and at Lewis’ Bar & Grille in Norwood and also had a special love and patience for his Labradors “Chara” and “Tyson”.
In addition to his beloved wife, he was the devoted and loving father of Molly F. Norton of Mansfield and Thomas G. Norton of Mansfield. He was the dear brother of Patrick Norton of Lynnfield, Mary Catherine Curley of Norwood and Christine Gagliard of Norwood. He was the cherished son-in-law of Joan (Loycano) Frangioso of Norwood and the late Dominic Frangioso. He was the beloved brother-in-law of Nancy Dieselman and her husband Ken of Reading and is also survived by his adoring nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, September 3rd from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 4th at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Brian’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
