Obituary

Thomas F. Carr, 68, of Worcester, died on Friday, August 16th at home. He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Diane D. (Burns) Carr; two daughters, Lindsey Carr of Worcester and Megan Carr of Waltham; two grandchildren, Kobe Carr and Maisie Carr-Wilcox; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Carr; and two sisters, Lori Carr and Patricia Leith.

He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Francis T. and Lorraine B. (Cormier) Carr. Tom dedicated over 30 years to the construction industry, where his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication left a lasting mark to those he worked beside. A proud Air Force veteran, Tom served his country with honor, and his time in the service was a source of great pride throughout his life. His commitment extended beyond his career to his passions, particularly his love for fishing and ice fishing. He found joy and solace in the tranquility of nature, often spending weekends casting his line and sharing stories of his adventures. Tom was also an enthusiastic baseball player, and his love for the game was evident in the way he embraced every game and practiced with enthusiasm. His greatest joy, however, was his family, he found immense happiness in the time spent with his grandchildren. The bond he shared with his beloved grandson, Kobe, was especially significant, bringing light and laughter to Tom's life. Tom’s warm presence, hearty laugh, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, love, and cherished memories.
