SPRINGFIELD – Sharon A. (Davis) Roberts, 63, of East Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on April 22, 1961, a beloved daughter of the late Raymond P. and Corinne H. (Lutz) Davis. She was raised in Springfield, graduated from Classical High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was the longtime Office Manager for Hastie Fence in Agawam. She previously was employed at Carando Foods and was a Long Distance Operator for AT&T, both in Springfield. She was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Hope Church in Springfield where she was a 30 year member of the Senior Choir. Sharon enjoyed knitting, making jewelry, reading a good book, and watching Judge Judy. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Richard A. Roberts. They were married on October 11, 1987 at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield and were blessed with over 36 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving sons, Aaron D. Roberts of East Springfield and Christian D. Roberts and his wife, Taija Newton-Roberts, of Chicopee; her dear brother, Bryan K. Davis of Springfield; her two dear sisters, Karen A. Wytas and her husband, Ken, of Ludlow and Julie A. Horgan of Bradenton, FL; her dear sisters and brothers-in-law, Geraldine Roberts of Agawam, Corinne Stark of Wilbraham, Joanne Adams of Feeding HIlls, Valerie Avore and her husband, Joseph, of Michigan, Linda Roberts of Feeding Hills, and Thomas Roberts of Feeding Hills; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and numerous friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two dear brothers-in-law, Louis Roberts and Donald Roberts; and her two dear sisters-in-law, Theresa Roberts and Cynthia Roberts. Her Funeral will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Mary, Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Boulevard, Springfield, MA 01104. Her Burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. before Mass.
