Clarence Jewell, Jr., 81, of Ty Ty passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jimmy Cargle officiating. Mr. Jewell will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Darrell Braswell, Brandon Jewell, Robert DelRossi, Nicholas Jewell, Tyler Jewell, Ronnie Barnes and Manuel Ayala will serve as pallbearers.
Born August 24, 1942, in Coffee County, Mr. Jewell was the son of the late Clarence Jewell, Sr. and Jeanette Tripp Jewell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Carol Luke Jewell, who passed away on July 19, 2023; and one daughter, Tonya Denise Jewell. He was a retired mechanic; and he was of the Baptist faith. He also served four years in the United States Army.
Mr. Jewell is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelli and Edsel Schofill of Ty Ty and Stacy and Robert DelRossi of Sylvester; four brothers, Gary Jewell of Willacoochee, Bill Jewell of Nashville, Donnie Jewell of Tennessee and Thomas David Jewell of Atlanta; one sister, Sharon Jewell of Warner Robins; four grandchildren and their spouses, Alana Renea and Manuel Ayala, Nicholas Scott and Laeken Jewell, Tyler McKenzie Jewell and Adrian Skye Brown and Robert Stephen DelRossi; and three great-grandchildren, Nancy Ayala, Holly Marie Ayala and Christopher Scott Jewell.
