Daniel T. "Dan" McKillop, a longtime resident of Charlestown and formerly of Woburn, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was 83 years of age.
Dan was born in Woburn on May 26, 1941, a son of the late Daniel J. McKillop and Barbara L. (Jordan) McKillop. He grew up in Woburn where he attended St. Charles Parochial School and graduated from Woburn High School. He furthered his education by attending classes at Northeastern University. Dan was a dispatcher for Daniels Printing in Everett for 20 years. He was an avid Boston Sports fan and enjoyed watching all the Boston sports teams, enjoyed watching golf and enjoyed skiing in his earlier years in Vermont.
Dan is the beloved husband of 56 years to Catherine M. (Chisolm) McKillop. He is the devoted father of Catherine T. "Cathy" McKillop and the late William D. McKillop. He is the beloved brother of Janet Capone and her husband Edward, Mary Ellen Vadney, Barbara Sullivan, and the late Patricia Ash. He is the dear brother-in-law of Elizabeth "Betsy" Ferreira. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Dan's visiting hours on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass at 12 Noon in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. His burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
