Glenn B. Taylor, 81, of Brookfield passed away Thursday, October 31, 2002, at Beverly Health Care in Tifton. His funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Gerald Purvis, the Rev. Walter Powell and Mr. Frank McGill officiating. Mr. Taylor was laid to rest at Lawrence Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor's grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Brookfield Friendship Club and member of the Board of Stewards of Brookfield United Methodist Church.
Born July 14, 1921, in Tift County, Mr. Taylor was the son of the late Claude Taylor and Mary Patton Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mallory Taylor; two brothers, Virgil Taylor and John Taylor; and two sisters, Madge Marney and Catherine Tyson. He was a retired farmer; and he was a member of Brookfield United Methodist Church.
Mr. Taylor is survived by one son, Perry Taylor of Tifton; four daughters, Mary Nelle Paulk of Alpharetta, Glenna Harris of Atlanta, Margaret Zimmerman of Macon and Donna Heffring of Raleigh, North Carolina; one brother, Smith Taylor of Albany; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
