Obituary

WORCESTER_ Edward F. Nevalsky, 90, formerly of Northborough and Worcester, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in Goddard Homestead Hall. He is survived by his eight children, Steven M. of Worcester, Edward J. and his wife Angela of Spencer, Cindy A. Perro and her husband John of Millbury, Mark F. of Worcester, Sharon M. Cullinane of Worcester, Richard A. and his partner Joseph Cancelmo, Brian D. and his wife Kelly of Sutton and Michael D. and his partner Kristen of Worcester; his former wife and longtime friend Connie Nevalsky; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. The last of six children, he was born in Worcester to the late Benedict E. and Mary M. (Grimala) Nevalsky. He is predeceased by his siblings, Paul Grimala and Donald Nevalsky, Lenny Neval, Lorraine Greenwood and Eleanor Gray.
Mr. Nevalsky worked for many years as a machinist at George Meyers and Elkay Products , along with being the local television repair man. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. An avid sports fan, he supported all New England sports. Ed was a “handy “man spending time fixing things or at least making a great effort to do so. A true family man, his greatest pleasure came from spending time with his family and watching them grow. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Goddard Homestead for the kindness and care they extended to Ed during his residency there.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St. A funeral with a Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. Worcester, MA. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, 260 Cambridge St.
