Stephen Lee Tyson, 44, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Saturday, May 25, 2002, at his residence. His funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Eddie Allen and the Rev. Doug English officiating. Mr. Tyson was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Clay Miller, J. R. Tyson, David Tyson, Raleigh Tyson, Tommy Tyson and Chip Drawdy served as pallbearers.
Born June 4, 1957, in Tift County, Mr. Tyson was the son of Alice Ruth Ray Tyson of Chula and the late Emmette Donald Tyson. He was a retired electrician; and he was a member of Chula United Methodist Church.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Tyson is survived by one brother, Dr. Rodney Tyson of Adel; four aunts, Joyce Harman of Arcadia, Florida, Sarah Ray of Jacksonville, Florida, Juanita Rowe of Tifton and Yvonne Spellman of Omaha, Nebraska; one uncle, Charles Harman of Arcadia, Florida; one niece, Lori Tyson of Valdosta; and one nephew, J. R. Tyson of Adel.
