Michelina (Coletti) Gareau, 73, of Glocester, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024. She was a beloved daughter to the late Pietro Coletti and Candida (Bianco) Coletti. Mickey was the wife of the late David Gareau, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.
Mickey worked for many years as a manager at Cumberland Farms, where she was known for her hard work and dedication. Outside of work, she found joy in cooking Italian food, especially her homemade spaghetti sauce, meatballs, and famous stuffed mushrooms. She also had a passion for ceramics, jewelry-making, knitting, concerts and spending countless hours doing word searches. Mickey had a special fondness for collecting blue butterflies and elephants, symbols of her love for beauty and strength.
She is survived by her loving children: Carlo (partner Lorraine), David, Kenneth (late wife Janet), Robert (wife Lisa), Nancy Van Tassell (husband James), and Donna Cote (husband Vincent). Mickey was also the dear sister of Pete Coletti (wife Doris),Carlo Coletti (wife Kathy), and her late sister Elisa.
Her memories will be cherished by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date
