James Claude Thrift, 65, of Sumner passed away Sunday, October 13, 2002, at his residence. A private funeral service and burial was held for Mr. Thrift at a later date.
Born June 18, 1937, in Blackshear, Mr. Thrift was the son of the late Lesley Thrift and Pauline Johnson Thrift. Before retiring, he was a maintenance technician at Lewis and Clark College; and he was of the Presbyterian faith. He was also served in the United States Army for two years.
Mr. Thrift is survived by three brothers, Billy Morgan, Donnie Morgan and Robert Thrift of Houston, Texas; and three sisters, Bonnie Thrift, Debra Ray and Dianne Pimentel.
