Grady V. Tanner, Sr., 71, of Ocilla passed away Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Osceola Nursing Home in Ocilla. A private funeral service and burial was held for Mr. Tanner at a later date at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Born January 9, 1931, in Turner County, Mr. Tanner was the son of the late Thomas Newton Tanner and Eva Thel Bledsoe Tanner. He was a veteran of the United State Military.
Mr. Tanner is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Grady V. Jr. and Sandy Tanner and Thomas "Tommy" Tanner, all of Tifton; one brother, T. J. Tanner of Rome; one sister, Jeanette Doles of Tifton; three grandchildren; and an uncle, Lloyd Tanner.
