Kaye W. Ford, 78, passed away peacefully on the 9th of August 2024 at her home in Ventura, CA. Her knowledge, spirit, humor, independence, and grace have been an inspiration to so many and will be missed dearly by family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
Kaye was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on the 15th of April 1946. She graduated in 1964 from Norman High School and went on to earn a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine in 1980.
Kaye had the blessing of having multiple careers in her lifetime. You may know Kaye through her work as a flight attendant, an apartment manager, a real estate agent, or as a board member to the Santa Paula Society of the Arts. Others might know her through her cosmetic sales, or even as a small business owner in Mammoth.
Kaye was especially proud to have flown with the Military Airlift Command for three years in the late 1960s and has maintained this identity, and close friendships, built through her commitment to support our troops in difficult times.
Kaye is survived by her brother John Marven Ford and sister Keri June Ford Saling. Kaye is preceded in death by her mother June Brooks Ford Shelton, father Marven Walter Ford, and sister Toni Synoma Ford Wilkerson.
Family and friends are invited to gather at 333 E Vince St, Ventura on September 7th from 2-4 PM to share fond memories of Kaye. Arrangements are under the direction of the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, Ventura, CA.
