Maureen C. Hubbell, 67

Dateline: Norton, MA

Maureen C. (Connors) Hubbell, age 67, of Norton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. She was the beloved wife of Roy F. Hubbell, to whom she was wed on September 17, 1983.

Born in Quincy, MA on January 31, 1957, she was a loving daughter of the late Herbert J., Jr. and Geraldine M. (Kerrigan) Connors.

Maureen grew up in East Walpole and was a 1975 graduate of Walpole High School. Following her marriage to Roy, she returned to school and earned her Associate Degree as a Medical Assistant. She had made her home in Norton for the past forty-one years and had formerly ran daycare at her residence in Norton.

A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton, Maureen loved spending time with her adoring family and was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton. An avid reader, Maureen’s other hobbies included gardening, canning vegetables, making herbal wreaths and was quite talented in crafts.

In addition to her beloved husband of nearly forty-one years, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Monica R. Hubbell and her companion Ashley of Brooklyn, New York. She was the dear sister of Herbert J. Connors, IV and his wife Ellen of East Walpole, Kathleen M. Wright and her husband Brian of New Ipswich, New Hampshire, Colleen A. Summers of Loxahatchee, Florida and Colleen’s late husband William Summers, Geraldine T. Shaheen and her husband William of Colorado, Pauline L. Bailey of South Attleboro and Arlene M. Canning and her husband Thomas of North Attleboro. She is also survived by her many cherished nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, September 4th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.

A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation on Wednesday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
