Jeff Fleming of Naples, Florida formerly of Needham, Massachusetts passed away peacefully, surrounded by close family, on August 11, 2024. Jeff is survived by his wife Mary Ellen and his children Paul Fleming of Needham and Katie McGinn of Marietta, GA. He was the proud grandfather of six; Connor, Brendan, Riley and Stevie Fleming of Needham as well as Nolan and Ellery McGinn of Marietta. He also leaves his sister Terri Mullaney and her family in Scituate. Jeff grew up in Hyde Park and was a proud graduate of Boston College High School where he excelled at both football and track and field, later being inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. He went on to graduate from Boston College and was a member of the Eagles football team. His business life was spent in Boston where he co-founded the successful lobbying firm formerly known as Shanley, Fleming & Associates. After retiring, Jeff relocated to Naples, Florida and was a member of the Kensington Golf and Country Club. He enthusiastically served as Vice President of the club and was head of several governing committees. He especially enjoyed golf and the tropical climate of Florida.
Visitation at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave. Needham on Thursday, August 22, from 4-7pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday, August 23, at 9:30am followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Needham at 10:30am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private.
