It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William A. Page, who left us on August 16, 2024, at the age of 82, in the comfort of his home and surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Amherst on October 6, 1941, William was the cherished son of Raymond and Mary (Grant) Page. For over 34 years, he dedicated himself to his role as a supervisor and postmaster with the United States Post Office. A proud member of the Elks and the Moose Family Club, William was also a beloved youth baseball coach for both the Moose Lodge and then the American Legion in Aldenville. His passion for coaching reflected his deep commitment to nurture and guide young people. William spent 53 years raising his family in Chicopee before making the move to sunny Sebastian, Florida, where he and his wife, Pamela, enjoyed the warmth and joy of their retirement. Despite his love for the sunshine, his greatest source of pride and happiness was always his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 61 years, Pamela H. (Kelleher) Page; his sons, Stephen (Shannon) of Feeding Hills and Russell (Karen) of Chicopee; his daughter, Stacey (Ed Pezze) of Pittsfield; his sister, AnnMarie Page of Windsor Locks, CT; and his eight adoring grandchildren, Justin, Alicia, Andrew, Emmalee, Erin, Suzanne, Spencer, and Sawyer as well as two great-grandchildren: Natalie and Pamela. William was predeceased by his brother Raymond and his beloved dog Sterling. Family and friends are invited to celebrate William’s life at calling hours on Tues., Aug. 20, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Wed., Aug. 21st from 8:30 - 9:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at St Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee at 10:00 AM. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, honoring William’s spirit of generosity.
