Elizabeth J. (Flynn) Maloney, age 66, of Norton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford. She was the beloved wife of Joseph F. Maloney, to whom she was wed for forty-four years.
Born in Boston, MA on November 9, 1954, she was a loving daughter of the late Thomas J. and Jean C. (Walsh) Flynn.
Betty grew up in Milton and was a 1975 graduate of Milton High School. She continued her education, graduating in 1979 with a Bachelor’s Degree from Bridgewater State College.
A resident of Norton for forty-four years, Betty had been employed for the past twelve years as an Accounts Manager for C.C.S. Companies in Norwood. She had formerly worked, along with her late sister Marilyn, as an owner of the Tigerlilly Day Spa & Salon in Foxborough and also at various cable companies for twenty years.
A communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Betty loved spending time with family and the simple pleasures of relaxing at home. She also enjoyed occasional outings to area casinos.
In addition to her husband, she was the dear sister of the late William Flynn, Jeanmarie Turner and Marilyn Minahan. She was the much-loved sister-in-law of Laura Cronin and her husband Shane of York, Maine, Frank Maloney and his wife Jean of Rockland, Jack Malone and his wife Lorraine of Plymouth, Bud Minahan of East Taunton and Jim Turner of Davidson, North Carolina. She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews and her best friend Stephanie.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, August 20th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Her funeral will begin on Wednesday, August 21st at 10:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
