Anne Marie Romain passed away on August 9, at 6:30pm just a few weeks shine of her 90th Birthday. After a long and well supported illness, she succumbed on her third day after being admitted to the hospital.
Anne Marie Romain has been an example of courage, grace, endurance, and perseverance. Anne Marie Romain outlived her late daughter Mirielle Felix Joseph whom she cherished and whose departure affected her a great deal. She has also endured the loss of her granddaughter Tatiana Joseph, her parents and all her siblings. She is survived by her eldest daughter Solange MP. Joseph, her son Nito Felix, her son-in-law Michelet Joseph, her cherished granddaughters Guerline S. Joseph and Esther Joseph, her grandson Pierre Paul Moshe Joseph, Mitchel Joseph, her adored great-granddaughter Jessica De La Perriere Joseph, her great grand- grandson Alvin B. Daunay, and two other great-grandchildren.
Anne Marie lived a long but difficult and agonizing life. She left Haiti, her country of origin in May 18, of 1991 and had never returned since. While in the United States, she did what all good mothers do: trying her best to help those she left behind. She overcame different illnesses on various occasions. She suffered a lot, she was in constant sadness from missing her eldest daughter whom she had reunited with after over 25 years of separation. Though by the time of the reunion she was already in the second stage of Alzheimer disease. Anne Marie was selfless, loving and extremely giving. She would give you the clothes on her back literally. Anne Marie was loved, cherished by anyone who got to know her. She will be missed and will never be forgotten by her close relatives, especially her daughter Solange and granddaughter Guerline as well as everyone who knew her and loved her.
Anne Marie Romain, you had fought a good fight. May you rest in peace.
Family and friends are invited to attend viewing hour on Saturday August 31, 2024 from 9-10 AM followed by a Religious Service from 10-11 AM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, MA. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, 45 Fairview Ave, Hyde Pak MA.
