JoAnn Ritchie Lafaber, 73, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held 4 PM, Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Holt Baptist Church in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. David Biggers officiating.
Ms. Lafaber was born October 15, 1950, in Nurburg, Germany, to the late John Gardner Ritchie & Bertha Patton Ritchie. She graduated ABAC in 1970 with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. Ms. Lafaber retired from Wal-Mart after 25 years and worked for American Blanching for 18 years as an office assistant in production and inventory. She was a member of Holt Baptist Church, where she was involved in the puppet ministry. Ms. Lafaber loved her animals. She especially loved her horse, Gigi and her dachshund, Panda.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William “Billy” & Farah Lafaber of Winchester, Virginia; a granddaughter, Gabrielle “Gabby” Lafaber; a sister, Pam Lane of Fitzgerald and a niece, Melissa Patsches of Lebanon, Pennsylvania. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Lafaber.
