Heliodoro Mark (Martinez) Brassfield, 43, of Camarillo, CA, passed away on July 7, 2024 at Dignity Health – St. John’s Hospital, Camarillo, CA. He was born on April 1,1981 in Camp Pendleton, CA, to Heliodoro Martinez Jr. and Barbara Martinez. He enjoyed a loving marriage to Troy Brassfield.
Mark is survived by husband Troy Brassfield; mother Barbara Martinez; sister Monic Martinez, brothers Mathew “Eddie” Martinez and Andres Marquez; step-mother Delphine Martinez; step-sisters Dione Valdez (Jerry), Diane Victor (Dwight), Wendy “Charissa” Rose (Eddie); step brother Wayne Permito (Shirley); nephews & nieces – Jorge De Arcos (Clarissa), Audrina, Jenessa, Mary Jane, Ezekiel De Arcos; Nickole Martinez, Xavier Hernandez (godson); Anthony Figueroa (Leslie), Anthony III, Jayden; predeceased by father Heliodoro Martinez Jr. and great nephew Jorge Jr..
Mark’s life was remarkable and vibrant as was his personality. He enjoyed leading and serving as a Wellness Director at Varenita Westlake. He was a Disney fanatic, especially the villains, and loved to dress up during Halloween and Christmas. Mark had a great sense of fashion, loved his Tom Ford cologne, Starbucks pumpkin spice, and shopping; he loved his Dodge Ram truck just like his dad’s; he enjoyed vacationing with his husband in Big Bear, CA, and especially in Hawai’i so he could visit his ‘ohana. Mark will always be remembered for his laughter and loving spirit, and his undying love for his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Varenita Westlake, on August 24, 2024, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., 95 Duesenberg Dr., Westlake Village, CA.
