Brian R. Pierce, age 49, of Norton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Born in Attleboro, MA on November 7, 1974, he was a loving son of Diane R. “Penney” (Pierce) Heida and her husband Jim of Norton and Robert “Bobby” Rei of Norton.
Brian grew up in Mansfield and Norton, was a 1993 graduate of Norton High School and had also lived in Colorado for over twenty years. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. While serving in the Army, he was stationed in Colorado and also served in Panama.
He was well-known for his talents as a self-employed carpenter and very-much enjoyed spending time with his family. Brian loved the great outdoors which included fishing, snowmobiling and motocross. He was proud to have obtained his pilots and hot air balloon licenses and his other hobbies included raising chickens and goats.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted daughters, Amy Wegner and her husband Tyler of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Kinsley Pierce of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was the cherished grandfather of Maxwell Wegner, Isla Wegner and Henry Wegner. He was the dear brother of Lukas F. Rei and his wife Kellie of Norton and Clinton Jesse Rei of Norton. He was the loving uncle of Dillon Rei, Gracie Rei, Brooklyn Rei, Kaylee LaMonte and the late Benjamin Rei. He is also survived by his daughter’s mothers Cindy Pierce of Colorado, Aimee Goodbar of Colorado, as well as his loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, August 18th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
His funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19th at 11:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial, along with military honors will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:30 P.M.
Due to the limitation of flowers allowed at the National Cemetery, Brian’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the New England Center and Home for Veterans, 17 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108,
