Obituary

Mrs. Evelyn F. (Reid) Martineau, a resident of North Andover, formerly of Andover and beloved wife of Paul J. Martineau, passed away at her home, Ashland Farms, on Friday evening, August 9, 2024. She was 93 years old.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on October 9, 1930, she was the beloved daughter of the late Bryan and Mary L. (Bradley) Reid. Evelyn attended Merrimack College and had been employed as a District Manager of New England Telephone and Verizon, for many years.

In her spare time, Evelyn enjoyed rooting for the Patriots and Red Sox and visiting St. Petersburg with her husband and friends. She was also a former Past President of the Quota Club in Lawrence. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her sweet disposition left everyone with a smile and her lovely singing voice was a true gift.

Besides her beloved husband, Paul, Evelyn is survived by her step-children; Thomas P. Martineau and Ex-wife Leslie of Haverhill, Patricia A. and her husband Atty. John Pollano of North Andover, step-grandchildren; Amy Pollano, Paul (Ashley) Pollano and Sarah (Jon) Figueroa of North Andover, and Megan (Joseph) Tremper of Manchester, NH. She is also survived by her step great-grandchildren Emery & Ava Figueroa and Prestyn & Easton Pollano and Joseph Tremper.


Evelyn was also the loving ‘Auntie Evie’ to the Davey family: Susan (Don) Harrison of Wilmington, Christopher and Sandra (Bartlett) of North Andover, Peter and Elaine (Fisher) of Groveland, Paul Davey of Dunstable and Joanne (Mark) LaLiberte of Cary, North Carolina and their children and grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by her step-son Paul J. Martineau and step-grandson; Thomas Pollano of North Andover and Bryan Davey of Wilmington.

A graveside service will be held in the St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 11:15 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
