Norma “Jane” Lyman, 81, of Concord, NH, died Tuesday August 6, 2024, at Havenwood Heritage Heights, Concord, NH. She was born on November 15, 1942, in North Conway, NH, a daughter of F. Albert and Vesta (Shackford) Lyman.
Jane graduated from Kennett High School, The University of New Hampshire and The University of Denver with a degree in Library Sciences. She was a longtime resident of Concord and was employed by the State of New Hampshire in their libraries. She loved to read, especially with a cat in her lap. She was an avid walker and enjoyed being outside in nature. She also enjoyed crocheting and cheering for New England sports teams, especially the Patriots. In her retirement Jane spent many hours volunteering with the New Hampshire State Employees’; Association’s Operation Santa Claus program.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Lyman of Candia, NH and nieces, Dawn Kinson of Dover, NH, Jo-Anne Porter of East Hampstead, NH, Nancy Thompson and husband Gary, grandniece Tara Starr and great grandniece Savannah Starr all of Salem, NH. Jane is predeceased by her brother, George Lyman, sister, Janet Lyman Porter, and nephew, Glenn Lyman.
