Carol Agnes Cahill, 83, passed peacefully at her home in Quincy on August 6, 2024. Formerly of Brighton, Carol is survived by her loving sister Agnes “Nessie” D’Ambrosio and her husband Patrick of Newton. Sister of the late Walter Cahill, the late Paul Cahill and his wife Mary Ann of Arlington, the late Robert Cahill and his late wife Genevieve, and the late James Cahill and his wife Lorraine of Moultonborough, NH. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who surrounded her with love.
Daughter of the late Walter and Agnes Slocum Cahill, Carol graduated from The Boston School for the Deaf in 1959 and Boston Trade School in 1962. Carol was brought up in the Oak Square section of Brighton and summered at Squam Lake in Holderness, NH. In her later years, Carol enjoyed her beautiful home in Quincy with housemates and caring support staff of Work Inc. Days were enjoyed at Habilitation Assistance Corporation, Weymouth. Her family is grateful for the loving care and attention she received. Carol loved her family gatherings and her family loved gathering with her. She will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham on Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 9:00-10:15am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 10:30am. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
