William Ross Mellor “Bill”, age 73, entered into rest at his home in Prosser on July 29, 2024. He was born on September 18, 1950 in Colfax, Washington to William Ross and Joan (McGregor) Mellor. The family resided in Hooper, Washington until moving to Prosser in 1953.
Bill was a member of the Horse Heaven Shooting Society and enjoyed shooting his guns at the range in Prosser. He also enjoyed remote-control cars. He attended schools in Prosser and graduated with the Class of ’69.
Bill joined the staff of Moore and Mellor Reality and Insurance in 1976 as an associate real estate broker and appraiser until 1987 and then opened his own agency, Mellor Appraisal Service.
Bill was married to Sandi (Grover) Mellor for 25 years and after their divorce, they remained lifelong friends. He is survived by his two sons, Brendon Mellor and his children, Micah and Olivia and Shane Mellor (Angela) and their children, Juelcee, Zaelyn and Tayley. He is also survived by his sister, Gail Blair (Jan).
He was preceded in death by his father, Wiliam Ross Mellor, his mother Joan (McGregor) Mellor, his step mother, Ilene (Curtis) Mellor, his former wife, Sandi (Grover) Mellor.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
