Mary (Lenart) Porada of Tiverton passed away peacefully at the age of 88 surrounded by her family.
Mary graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High school from the class of 1954 as a member of the National Honor Society. Mary worked in the insurance field for a few years and later was employed by the Town of Tiverton, as a Deputy Town Clerk and Clerk of Probate. Mary was a member of the Classy Ladies and St. Stanislaus Seniors Club.
Stanley and Mary dated through high school and were married for 55 years. They enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Cancun, Spain, California, Mexico and spending winters in Florida. Later Mary joined Stanley in his upholstery business decorating the Breakers, Doris Duke’s Home and many mansions in Newport. Mary was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Szelag) Lenart.
She leaves a son Stanley M. Porada and his wife Catherine, Daughters Deborah A. Gagne and Sheryl J. Faria. Grandchildren Jamie, Mercier, Jared Porada and his wife Crystal, Sarah and her husband Jared Pereira, Christopher Gagne and Matthew Faria, five Great Grandchildren. She leaves a sister, Jean Mattos and 3 Nieces and a Nephew.
Public visitation will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024 at 8:30 AM inside of the Saint Stanislaus Church, 36 Rockland St, Fall River. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10AM in the Saint Stanislaus Church. Interment will be in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Main Road, Tiverton, RI
