Passalacqua, Kathleen (Curley) of Medford, formerly of Malden, Charlestown, and Dedham, peacefully passed away on August 1, 2024, at the age of 65. She was the loving daughter of the late John and Helen (Landry) Curley, wife of the late John (Pazzy) Passalacqua, and beloved mother of Lisa Curley, who predeceased her. Kathy is survived by her sister Anne Curley of Dedham, her cherished granddaughter Mia Elizabeth, and many wonderful cousins and close friends.
Kathy was raised in Dedham and attended Dedham High School (Class of 1976), where she developed her artistic talent encouraged by parents who happened to be very talented, creative hobby artists. During that time Kathy had a close circle of friends, enjoying arts and outdoors with many of our Girl Scout neighbors.
Kathy began a part-time career in banking, later pursuing Business Management courses. As a young mother, following the loss of her husband, Kathy sought the fulfillment of a career where she could also help people. Kathy's long and successful career in Human Services was a result of her personal experiences, her aptitude for business, and a drive to help others. The School to Career programs she poured her heart into continue to be a success decades later.
Throughout these and more difficult times Kathy remained devoted to her family. The bond of her closest family, cousins, and friends was a lifeline that she was always grateful for. The laughs and memories shared sustained her. Kathy’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be remembered by all who knew her.
