Obituary

Alan F. Bradford “Al”, age 74, of Middleboro, passed away on July 31, 2024 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the loving husband of Carol L. (Bowker) Bradford of thirty-four years and father of Samuel B. Bradford.

Born in Weymouth and raised in Braintree, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary F. (Fletcher) Bradford.
He graduated from Braintree High School and worked as a roofer for many years prior to retirement. In addition, he was a talented artist and did designs for Spoontiques Pewter Figurines as well as many designs for posters, programs, and set pieces for theater productions.

Some of his interests include reading, collecting comic books, tabletop games, acting, camping, canoeing, and hiking. A true “do it yourselfer” he was referred to by his wife as the “idea man”. Al also published 3 books of which he was very proud and he had a great laugh.

Alan was Carol’s soulmate, and she will miss the way he made her laugh and loved the way he embraced her. They travelled, swam, and always had fun together. They were members of the Science Fiction Fantasy Book Club of Middleboro.

Besides his wife and son, he leaves his daughter-in-law, Fiona Bradford and a beloved granddaughter, Niamh Violeta Bradford of Brooklyn, NY; a brother Peter Bradford of Middleboro; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
