MOULTONBOROUGH ---- Joseph “Al” Alfred Cormier, 72, of Moultonborough, NH, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at home surrounded by his loved ones after a yearlong battle with lung cancer.
Al was born on December 15, 1951, in Fitchburg, MA, the son of the late Alfred Joseph Cormier and Doris (Breau) Cormier.
Al was a craftsman at heart. He loved going to Old Orchard Beach and collected seashells while there, crafting them into beautiful pieces of art which he then displayed in his home. He also loved going to the Swift River, Cathedral Ledge, and Dianna’s Bath. Al enjoyed working on vehicles, especially his beloved orange Dodge Challenger. He also had a love for photography. Al worked as an electronics engineer at GE. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served in the United States Air Force.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Shirley (Lowe) Cormier; son Jason Cormier (Brandy); daughters Constance Stevens, Sabryna Cormier, Tiffane Cormier, Rachael Callis, and Roxanne Walker (Carly); sister Joanne Lennon (Robert); and 10 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Al is predeceased by his brother Danny Cormier.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
