David R. Delaney, 75, of Derry, NH, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. He was born on August 14, 1948 in Lock Haven, PA, the son of Ralph and Twila (Lange) Delaney.
After graduating high school in Danvers, MA, David proudly served his country in Vietnam as a lance corporal of the United States Marines Corps. After his military service, David and his wife, Donna, started their life together by building a home in North Andover, MA. where they raised three boys. David was employed as a welder by Eastman Gelatin, a division of Kodak, working there for 32 years. He attended Wentworth Institute of Technology where he received certification in advanced metallurgy. As a kind father, David would often volunteer as a little league coach and with the Boy Scouts of America troop 87. David’s hobbies included woodworking, camping with his family and DIY projects around the house.
He is survived by Donna, his loving wife of 53 years; three sons, David Delaney and his wife Shannon of Windham NH, Kevin Delaney and his wife Kara of Bloomington IN, and Bryan Delaney of Derry NH; and five grandchildren Colin, Claire, Jack, Connor, and Hannah.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 10th from 2 – 6pm at the Derry/Salem Elks, 39 Shadow Lake Rd., Salem, NH 03079 for those who would like to attend.
