Isolina Mirra (Perella) of Roslindale, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the Hancock Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Quincy, MA. She was born on July 28, 1934 in Castel del Guidice, Italy, the daughter of the late Anita & Domenic Perella. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Tony, whom she married on July 10, 1960.
She is survived by her four loving children, Connie Marvin of Mansfield and her late husband Bill, Dina Fallon of Bellingham and her husband Mike, Elaine Boulger of Whitman and her husband George and Anthony Mirra of Roslindale and his wife Kristen. She also leaves behind three beloved granddaughters, Amanda Fallon, Sarah Boulger & Rachel Boulger.
She came to the US from Italy when she was 16 and grew to be an expert tailor / seamstress for over 60 years, known for her abilities with wedding dresses, tuxedos and suits. She helped hundreds of brides find the wedding gown of their dreams.
She loved being with her family and friends, going to the casino and cooking. She was a tremendous cook known for her Italian dishes, meatballs, pizza & pizzelles. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and relished being a grandma to her beautiful granddaughters.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing hours on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 5-8 PM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, August 6 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 169 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, MA. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, 990 Lagrange Street, West Roxbury, MA.
