It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Renee Freiha, age 79, of Brockton, on July 30, 2024, at Morton Hospital. She spent her final moments surrounded by her loving family. Renee was the beloved wife of the late Gabriel Elhelou.
Born in Zalka, Lebanon, Renee was the cherished daughter of Elias Freiha. In 2000, she made Brockton her home, where she built a life filled with love, dedication, and community.
Renee was a nurturing, loving, and forgiving mother whose affection and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She was an exceptional cook, bringing joy to her family and friends through her delicious meals. Her unwavering faith was a guiding light throughout her life.
She is survived by her children: Charles Elhelou of Taunton, Daniel Elhelou of Raynham, Rania Almussquaoui of Raynham, and Anthony Helo and his wife Lea of Brockton. Renee was a proud grandmother to Charbel, Gabriel, Karen, Kevin, Ella-Marie, Kayl. Nemtalla, Fadi, and Nour. She is also fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters: Souhaila, Yvette, Mansour, Joseph and Ricardo. She was predeceased by her late siblings Helene and Layla.
Renee will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St., Brockton, from 6-8 pm. A Service of the Divine Mysteries will take place on Wednesday at 10:30 am at St. Theresa Maronite Church, followed by interment at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.
