Obituary

Richard A. MacKinnon of Salem, MA, passed away on July 30th, 2024, after a battle with cancer.
After attending a church service in 1974, Richard gave his heart to Christ and soon after dedicated his life to ministry. He quit his engineering job to attend Rhema Bible Training Center in Oklahoma where he was later ordained as a Protestant minister.He founded and pastored churches in eastern Massachusetts.Richard has ministered in churches in Africa, Asia, and Central America. He also has served with his family as a missionary in Kenya, smuggled Bibles into Communist China, and had a daily radio program on WEZE, a Boston Christian station.
During his journey, Richard was ordained a priest in the Anglican Church, The North American Old Roman Catholic Church, and the Orthodox Church. In 1998, he and his wife were received into the Roman Catholic Church.
Richard leaves behind his wife Kathleen to whom he was married for 55 years, sisters Linda and Kathleen, son Scott, son Jay and his wife Kyla, son Matthew and his wife Emily, daughter Debra, four grandsons, two granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.
Richard lived a good life and will be missed by family and friends.
