being an Eagle Scout and attended Levittown Memorial High School before studying at Fairleigh

Larrie had 13 grandchildren and is also survived by his sister, Barbara Sussman, of Atlanta,
Georgia.
Larrie will always be remembered for his deep love of his family and friends, his incredible
sense of humor, zest for life, sense of adventure, and strong work ethic. We will always
remember him saying his favorite punchline to his favorite joke, “Wanna buy a chicken?.....”
with a huge smile on his face and a happy laugh. We truly could not have asked for a better
husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Larrie had a soft spot for all of his dogs and grand dogs, most recently, Marlin. You could always
find him sharing his ice cream with Marlin and his granddogs Daisy and Vail.
Larrie and his dear friends could always be found spending time together, whether playing cards,
racquetball, snowmobiling, or skiing. They were together through it all, thick and thin.
Larrie was passionate about his profession as a podiatrist and worked until the very end. His
patients adored him and appreciated his commitment and loving care for many decades.
Everyone who knew Larrie knew his thirst for fun and adventure. He was an avid runner,
completing many marathons, including the New York City and Boston Marathons. Larrie was
also a hunter, skier, and scuba diver and loved camping with his children. He and Phyllis traveled
extensively around the world. They also gave their time to charities that touched their hearts.
Phyllis Lee Rockmacher was the love of his life. They were married in Long Branch, New
Jersey, in 1962 and began their family in 1965. His children and grandchildren meant the world
to him and defined who he was.
Larrie, Daddy, Dad, Grandpa, Grampy, Poppop, as he was affectionately called, will be forever
loved and missed by his adoring family, friends, and patients. He was a role model to us all.
