Obituary

STANDISH- James Robert Heggeman was born on January 29th, 1980, in Standish Maine. In his youth, Jimmy found his passion competing in sports along with performing music and in theater productions at school and across the local community. He filled his time in high school as a volunteer firefighter, the Maine Civil Air Patrol, and as the Official Bonny Eagle mascot until he was accepted into the Navy after graduating.
In his early adult years Jimmy built homes and businesses for Maine families and coached local youth sport Leagues. His true love was fatherhood. A devoted dad, Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of adventure, nurturing, and encouragement in his daughter Alana, and his son, Alexander that will live on.
A loving son, a caring father, and a helpful friend, James found time for his kids, to rescue abandoned animals, and to help the people around him when he could. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Old-Growth Forest Network.
