Obituary

Jean Krylowicz, 71, passed away comfortably with family by her side on July 28, 2024, at Rose Monahan Hospice Home after a long illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Margaret (Flanagan) and Courtland Duclos. Jean leaves four brothers, Donald Duclos and his wife Toni of Shrewsbury, William Duclos and his wife Mary of Pembroke, Stephen Duclos and his wife Mary Beth of Woodstock, VT, and Paul Duclos of Florida. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved cats, Toby and Diego. She is predeceased by her soul mate of twenty years and husband of ten years, Peter Krylowicz, who passed in 2012, as well as a brother, Thomas Duclos.

Jean lived in Worcester all her life and attended St. Stephens High School. She then went on to work for Thom McAn Shoe Company for 20 years. She later worked for Staples Corporation retiring after twenty years. Jean will be remembered for her fun and caring personality, as well as for the immense love she held for her family. She enjoyed camping, reading, spending time with family, and traveling with her lifelong group of friends, the “Ya-Yas”.

Jean’s family would like extend a heartfelt “Thank-You” to the Oncology Department at UMass Memorial Medical Center, as well as, the staff at Rose Monahan Hospice Home, for their care and dedication to Jean during her illness.

Memorial contributions in Jean’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Services will be private. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., is assisting the family with arrangements.
