Meredith Christine Pompeo, of Whitman, Massachusetts passed away on July 27th. She was 45. She was born on July 30th, 1978 in Quincy. She was raised in Whitman where she graduated from high school in 1996. Meredith resided most of her life in Whitman.
Meredith was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and auntie. She was the wife of Mark Pompeo and a devoted mother of three incredible children – Max, Sam, and Ava Pompeo. She was the daughter of Jacqueline Grabowski and John Grabowski. Meredith was also the cherished sister of Marc Grabowski and his wife Cheryl Grabowski. She leaves behind her nieces and nephews Melinda O’Reilly, Hannah Grabowski, Chandler Grabowski, Gabrielle Adams, Mikayla Adams, Annabella Adams, and Jacob Adams. Meredith is also survived by her mother and father-in-law Janette and John Pompeo as well as her sister-in-law Cyndi Adams and her husband John Adams.
Above all, Meredith found joy and fulfillment in being a mother to her wonderful children. She dedicated all her time and energy to her family whom she adored. In her free time, Meredith loved to play games and spend time with her friends, creating lasting memories and bringing joy to all those around her. Those who loved her can recall some of her leisure time spent watching her favorite shows such as Friends and Grey’s Anatomy. She loved to immerse herself in the lives of beloved characters and found comfort in their stories. She also had a deep appreciation for music, and many will remember Meredith for her love of Jack Johnson’s soothing melodies that brought her a sense of peace and tranquility.
In her youth, Meredith was the head cheerleader at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. This allowed her to showcase her vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm. She was known for her warm smile and kind heart, which was evident by her wide circle of friends whom she loved and cared deeply for.
Meredith will be remembered for her boundless love for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her loyalty. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Rest in peace, Meredith. You will be deeply missed.
On Wednesday, July 31st, family and friends will honor and remember Meredith’s life by gathering at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 4-7 pm, followed by a funeral service at 7 pm. Blanchard Funeral Chapel is located at 666 Plymouth Street, Whitman, MA, 02382.
