Everette "Clay" Coburn, 93, of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, at Northside Hospital Gwinnett. The family will receive friends at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024, and a graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton, Georgia.
Born July 5, 1931, in Tifton, Mr. Coburn was the son of the late Anna Ruth Broome Coburn and Arthur Clay Coburn. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Sara Frances Coburn. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked with IBM for 40 years. He was a dedicated member and Deacon of Atlanta Primitive Baptist Church.
Mr. Coburn is survived by his sister, Joy Pearl Coburn, his two brothers, James Newton Coburn and Arthur Lee Coburn; two sons, Robert Clay Coburn and Everette Francis Coburn, both of Lawrenceville; two daughters, Sara Ann Bishop of Townsend, TN and Nancy Cornelia Coburn-Flaherty of Cumming; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
