
Coy Billy Paulk, 72, of Tifton passed away Saturday, August 24, 2002, at his residence. His funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Larry Layfield and the Rev. Ronnie Howell officiating. Mr. Paulk was laid to rest Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Floyd Turner, Ray Young, Dalton Carr, Lynwood Denham, Warren Housworth and Kage Dees served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the members of the Believers Sunday School Class at New River Baptist Church in Tifton.
Born March 3, 1930, in Tift County, Mr. Paulk was the son of the late Grady Paulk and Bessie Griffin Paulk. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Opal Mae Howell Hosey Paulk. Before retiring, he was a furniture salesman; and he was a member of New River Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mr. Paulk is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann McNeese Paulk of Tifton; two sons, Marc Hosey of Tifton and Robert Hosey of Cummings; one daughter, Rhonda Howell of Agrian, Michigan; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Rhupert Jernigan and Marie Outten, both of Tifton, Annie and Jim Daniels of Fitzgerald and Mae Ruth Purvis of Berrien County; and four grandchildren.
