Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James "Jim" Simpson Jr., 45, of Conway, SC, who unexpectedly passed away at home on July 4th. He leaves his wife of 7 years, Damaris Cabrera-Simpson; and their 2 children Dasanie Simpson and James Simpson III; his former wife, Susan Simpson, and their 3 children, Miranda Nunez and her husband, Matt, Marissa Simpson, and Olivia Simpson; 2 grandchildren, Jett Nunez and Ella Sullivan; parents Sherry Chevalier, James Simpson Sr. and his wife, Laura, and Richard Chevalier and his wife, Valentina; his siblings, Jennifer St. Jean and her husband, Larry, Angela Rudman and her husband, Jason, Melissa Chase and her husband, Jason, Tara Chevalier, Stephen Simpson; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was born and raised in Worcester. One of his greatest joys was his family. He enjoyed watching the New England Patriots. Jim was an auto enthusiast who had a passion for classic cars. His laugh was infectious. He always had a story to tell and it usually started with "duuuude". Although he will be missed by many, we will always carry him in our hearts and keep his memory alive by passing on traditions, sharing our memories and retelling his stories.

A funeral service will be on Saturday, August 3rd beginning at 2:30pm in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. His calling hours will be held Saturday, August 3rd from 12 Noon until the start of the service in the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
