Obituary

WEBSTER – Charles J. Bailey, Jr., 96, died Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in Brookside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center after a period of declining health.

He leaves a daughter, Catherine M. Przybylek and her husband Robert of Webster; and 2 grandsons, Jason Przybylek of Millbury and Paul Przybylek of Webster.

He was born on July 11, 1928 in Worcester, the son of Charles J. Bailey, Sr. and Florence (Mosher) Bailey and grew up in the city. He lived in Webster and then for many years in Douglas.

Mr. Bailey was a millhand at Crompton & Knowles in North Grosvenordale, CT and then worked in various capacities at the former Oxford Twin Drive-In on the Oxford Auburn life. For 20 years
he was a licensed peddler and was known as “Charlie the Toy Man” before he retired.

No funeral services are planned. Donations in his name may be made to the Activities Fund at Brookside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, 11 Pontiac Avenue, Webster, MA 01570.
