John P. (“Jack”) Buraczynski, 87, of Beverly and most recently of Kennebunk, ME passed away at Beverly Hospital on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Vivian L. (Boisvert) Buraczynski with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, MA, Jack was the son of the late John and Bertha T. (Alaskiewicz) Buraczynski. He graduated from Salem High School and pursued his undergraduate (Bentley and Northeastern) and graduate (Babson) degrees at night while raising his young family and working full time, ultimately pursuing a career in the field of accounting and finance. Jack was a self-taught and skilled carpenter and restored his historic Beverly home where he and Vivian greatly enjoyed entertaining family and friends.
Jack and Vivian loved to travel and over the years were able to visit many international locations becoming well versed in the culture and fine foods that each stop had to offer. Jack enjoyed greatly the opportunity to share stories with others about these adventures and encouraged his children and grandchildren to travel as much as possible.
In his retirement years, Jack especially enjoyed following and supporting his grandchildren in their many activities. Since his return to Beverly in 2022, Jack had the opportunity to be even closer to his four great grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife Vivian, Jack is survived by his three children, Mark J. Buraczynski (Jennifer) of Los Gatos, CA, Laurie Cahill (Bill) of Beverly and Paul Buraczynski (Cindy) of Littleton, MA, his sister Linda Gaumond of Kennebunk, ME, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
