Mary Jane Lindsey Norman, 89, of Tifton passed away Friday, August 16, 2002, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Eddie Allen officiating. Mrs. Norman was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Born May 22, 1913, in Lowndes County, Mrs. Norman was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee Lindsey and Ora Mae Lindsey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Columbus "W. C." Norman, Sr.; and one son, William Columbus Norman, Jr. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Norman is survived by one son, Thomas "Tommy" Lindsey Norman of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Penelope "Penny" and Cecil E. "Gene" Stinson, Jr. of Enigma; three sisters, Louise Brady of Daytona Beach, Florida, Annie Ruth Bailey of Thomasville and Lucile Cartwright of Athens, one grandson, Michael Kyle Stinson, Sr.; one great-granddaughter, August Stinson; and one great-grandson, Michael Kyle Stinson, Jr.
