Linda Inez Goddard McMillan, 55, of Tifton passed away Thursday, December 12, 2002, at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Danny Ray officiating. Mrs. McMillan was laid to rest at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma.
Gary Soles Jr., Josh Soles, David Ray, Lamar Garren, Jamie Goddard and Johnny Goddard Jr. served as pallbearers.
Born August 9, 1947, in Berrien County, Mrs. McMillan was the daughter of the late Judge Thomas Goddard and Monteen Barnes Goddard. She was a cafeteria manager for the Tift County Board of Education in the Tift County School System.
Mrs. McMillan is survived by her husband, Jessie Lee McMillan, Sr. of Tifton; one son, Jessie Lee McMillan, Jr. of Tifton; four daughters, Sandy McMillan, Shelley Kirkland, Karen Murphy and Darby Burnett, all of Tifton; four brothers, Jakey Goddard, Jimmy Goddard, Benny Goddard and Johnny Goddard, all of Tifton; one sister, Nancy Watson and Tommy Powers of Tifton; and eleven grandchildren.
